All instruments come with a 90 day parts and labor guarantee.*
Optoelectronics, Inc. warrants all products and accessories for 90 days against defects in materials and workmanship to the original purchaser. Products returned for warranty service will be repaired or replaced at Optoelectronics' option.
Specifically excluded are any products returned under this warranty that, upon examination, have been modified, had unauthorized repairs attempted, have suffered damage to the input circuitry from the application of an excessive input signal, have suffered damage to the charging circuitry or internal batteries from the application of excessive voltage, or show other evidence of misuse or abuse. Optoelectronics reserves the sole right to make this determination.
No other warranties are expressed or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Optoelectronics, Inc. is not liable for consequential damages.
RMA REQUIRED. No product will be accepted returned without RMA. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for RMA Authorization code. Products under warranty must be returned, transportation prepaid, to Optoelectronics' service center. All parts replaced and labor performed under warranty are at no charge to the customer.

Products not under warranty must be returned, transportation prepaid, to Optoelectronics' service center. Factory service will be performed on a time ($250 flat rate labor/per hour charge) and materials basis. A repair estimate prior to commencement of service may be requested. Return shipping will be added to the service invoice and is to be paid by the customer.
Many of the parts needed to repair some of the older units are no longer available, which means the possibility exists that we cannot repair these units. Frequency counters such as the 1200, 1300H/A, 2210, 2810, 3000 series, 7000 series, 8000 series, R10 Interceptor and APS104 fall into this category as well as units that were manufactured prior to 2000.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org before sending your unit back. We can still calibrate these units, but repair is unlikely.

Follow the instructions below for a rapid return and do not include any accessories unless they are needed to diagnose the problem.

Enclose a note explaining the problem, a copy of your invoice if the unit is under warranty, return street address, and a contact telephone number. Your unit will be evaluated and you will be contacted with an estimate if it is out of warranty. Typical repair return time is 3-4 weeks.
Methods of Payment accepted : Visa, Mastercard, American Express,Discover and PayPal.
Personal Checks are accepted with a 14 day holding period.
In the event that after receiving an estimate, you decline to have the unit repaired, you will be subject to a $25 evaluation fee plus return shipping costs.
